Leeds is a small city that's easy to walk around so we recommend a walk into town and grabbing a coffee at Anything along the way.

Laynes - excellent food and coffee with a variety of in-house bakes
Bake - amongst the best pastry in the UK alongside great sandwiches, donuts, and coffee
Bundobust - the original Bundobust that serves an entirely vegetarian/vegan menu of Indian streetfood paired with craft ales.
Trinity Kitchen - an ever rotating vendor list keeps Leeds satisifed with a wide variety of foods from all over the world alongside permanent fixtures that please everyone.
Nova Bakehouse - near the Armouries, this award-winning bakery is worth the walk alone (or water taxi).
Kapow! - a small independent coffee shop tucked away in one of Leeds' many arcades off Briggate.
Places To Go
Corn Exchange (free entry) - Leeds Corn Exchange is an iconic landmark that houses a variety of retailers and places to eat.
Royal Amouries (free entry) - a little further out of town, the Armouries boast an enormous collection of military artifacts from all over the world.
Art Gallery (free entry) - a quiet, well-curated gallery that hosts some of the best artwork aand exhibitions in Yorkshire.
Leeds Museum - (free entry) - round the corner from the art gallery, the museum contains exhibits from all corners of the globe and focusses on the local history of Leeds also.
Trinity - Trinity offers many high street retailers alongisde food and drink across multiple floors and streets. There's also an Everyman cinema on the top floor.
Victoria Quarter - grand arcades filled with premium retailers and food and drink.
Victoria Gate - Leeds' second city centre shopping location, Victoria boasts a wide number of high-end retailers for home and fashion, alongisde more food and drink options.
Getting Around
Unfortunately, Leeds has no mass transit system but is heavily pedestrianised and cyclist-friendly.
Bikes are available to hire via Beryly throughout the city in order to get around: Beryl Bikes Leeds
The canal offers a route into the heart of the city (Granary Wharf is next to the train station) and provides a pleasant walk in. Give yourself 30-45 minutes depending on your pace and weather conditions. Here's a Google Maps route: T4mation to Granary Wharf
The 15 bus from Armley Road will get you into the city centre in around ten minutes.
There is also the Water Taxi which serves limited places in Leeds along the River Aire.
